19-15-15. (Rule 706(g)) Testimony at trial by court-appointed expert

At the trial the court or any party may call an expert witness appointed by the court. The fact that he has been appointed by the court shall be made known to the jury, and he shall be subject to cross-examination by any party on his qualifications and the subject of his testimony.
